The Entourage program is aimed at individuals who are affected by or concerned about the substance use or gambling behaviour of a family member or friend regardless of whether that person is currently in treatment or not.
Pavillon Foster provides two different types of services in their Entourage program:
The first service offers short-term individual counselling and support to any family member or friend who is affected or concerned about a loved one’s substance use or gambling behaviour. The goal is to assist the individual in developing more effective personal coping strategies, provide information or referral to other specialized community services, and potentially increase their loved one’s motivation to seek professional assistance.
The second is aimed specifically at parents of youth under the age of 18. The PEAK (Parent Education about Addiction and Kids) program provides a series of seven once weekly group information and discussion sessions held at schools and other community sites several times per year. The main objective is to provide parents who are concerned about their teenagers with information, support and practical strategies whether their child is in treatment or not.
