ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS

In addition to its main mandate, Pavillon Foster offers the following additional programs :

Toxi-Court Program

In partnership with Batshaw Youth and Family Centres and the Court of Quebec Youth Division, Pavillon Foster provides evaluation and treatment services to parents whose substance use places their children’s development at risk. Parents are evaluated at the court house and those who meet the criteria and agree to participate in the program are followed by the court every three months for a one year period.

Driver Evaluation Program
The Driver Evaluation Program is a mandate given to rehabilitation centres by the SAAQ to evaluate individuals found guilty of driving while intoxicated or individuals seeking to renew a suspended driving permit.

Regional Training Program
Pavillon Foster is mandated by the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de la Montérégie to provide training and supervision to the personnel of CSSSs and community organizations in the detection, screening and brief motivational intervention techniques for substance abuse and problem gambling.

Research Program
Pavillon Foster in partnership with the Addictions Research Centre of the Douglas Hospital carries out research projects and provides transfer of knowledge to the clinical arena in the form of lectures, presentations, publications and training seminars.
